The 2009 Government Supported Benefits Summit Meeting

March 25 – 27, 2009 Salt Lake City, Utah

Program Synopsis:

This is a Nationwide Research Forum for key decision makers involved in Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and other Government Suppported  Benefits. Besides the information presented during the meeting, this unique casual forum will offer opportunities to improve communications between pharmaceutical companies and the Medicare / Medicaid attendees.  This is the fifth year of this Summit Meeting (formerly called the "Medicaid Summit"), and we expect to continue this as an annual event.

Objectives for Medicaid Clinical & Research Participants:

• Present innovative research and health policy programs to peer researchers and clinicians,
• Learn of creative programs and orientations that will allow participants to develop similar programs within their own responsibility area,
• Share data and develop new programs with cooperative orientations amongst states,
• Develop relationships in their interest area that lead to cooperative programs.

Objectives for Pharmaceutical Company Participants:

• Learn of state based programs that are in place and effect common key areas of disease interest,
• Develop new orientations for state based Medicare Part D / Medicaid research to support utilization of key products,
• Develop relationships and opportunities that may encompass multiple states,
