Denise B. Webb
Denise B. Webb is a Health Care IT Policy Initiatives Advisor in the Office of Policy Initiatives and Budget in the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services. She is currently responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of major Department policy and program initiatives in the area of eHealth Care Quality and Patient Safety. Her primary focus is on health information technology adoption and health information exchange. Prior to taking this position, she was the Department's Chief Information Officer and a Deputy Administrator for the Division of Care and Treatment Facilities. She started working for the State of Wisconsin in June 2000. Before joining the state, Denise served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years and retired in the grade of Lieutenant Colonel on July 1, 2000.
Denise completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and received a commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Louisiana State University in 1979. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Information Resources Management with honors from Webster University in 1987 and a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies with honors from the Naval War College in 1995. She completed a Master's Certificate in Project Management in 2004 through the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Denise is also a civilian commercially rated single- and multi-engine pilot with over 1,200 hours and most recently qualified for a Second-in-Command rating in the Citation II jet.
